Our mission ...
We are called together for worship and fellowship and for the up building of the Christian community.
... we believe a great commitment to the great commandment and the great commission will grow a great church.
We came into being because of the desire of a group of believers from the Bell community. From our humble beginnings until now, the UCC family has sought to show God's grace and share His work as we grow together in faith.
Church history ...
What we believe ...
God is the true creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. They are coequal and are one God.
... about God
... about Jesus Christ
Jesus is the Son of the Living God and because of His death, burial, and resurrection; we can have our sins forgiven.
... about the Bible
The Bible is God's complete message to mankind for all ages and it is the standard by which we live and worship God.
... about human beings
... about the church
... about the Lord's Supper
Every person is special and was created by God but we all have sinned and are in need of God's redeeming love.
The purpose of the church is to love God with all of our heart, love our neighbors, and bring people into a saved relationship with God.
It is our belief that we should celebrate the Lord's Supper when the church family comes together each week. We remember Christ's death, burial, and resurrection for our sins.
... about Salvation
The Bible clearly states that a person becomes a Christian by:
-believing that Jesus is the Son of God
-repenting or turning from their sins
-confessing their faith in Christ
-being baptized (immersed) for the
forgiveness of their sins
... about Holy Spirit
We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit. He is not an emotion or sentiment, but a thinking intelligence. He can be grieved, rejected or resisted. He is the third person of the Trinity. In conversion of the Spirit operates through the Word. He has told us what to do to be saved. God has ordained that the gospel is the power unto salvation.
